So I've applied to study Zoology at Swansea with my offer being me getting ABB, with one of those grades being in biology. I've had most of my exams and most went ok apart from my chemistry which wasn't as good. I've therefore been worrying that my grades will most likely be BBC, with the C being in chemistry but hopefully a B in biology.

So I was just wondering if from anyone's past experiences at getting into Swansea, if they applied for the same course but still got in on grades lower than the offer, and if generally Swansea are very lenient about entry grades.

    Any responses are greatly appreciated

A lot of people from my school went to Swansea and very few of those actually got their offer grades. I'm not sure what courses they were going or how much they missed by, but they definitely let people in when they miss grades so try not to worry!

It will depend how many people miss their offer on your course. They don't want to be in clearing for long because it looks bad on them so they'll try to accept as many people as they can. From what I've heard about Swansea I think you'd have a chance at getting in with BBC instead of ABB. Hope it makes you feel a bit better!

Though it depends on the course, but from what I've heard, they're VERY lenient. I wouldnt be surprised if people got in by missing two to three grades from their standard offer.
