Now that I've just done my GCSEs, I'd like to find work experience preferably in a hospital over the summer. It's my first time doing this sort of this and I dont know how to structure an email for asking for work experience. Here is what I have so far, but any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

    Good Afternoon,
My name is Hafsa Ali, and I am writing to enquire about work experience during this summer.

I am currently a Year 11 student who has just finished my GCSEs in King Edward Camp Hill School for Girls,Kings Heath. I have a particular interest in the world of science and medicine, and especially aspire to study this at University.

I am certain that I can learn a great deal working with you and that doing so will assist me in developing my skills, and will help me to further comprehend the great deal of work and effort that occurs within a surgery.

I will be available to work for any couple of weeks during this summer holidays between the 22nd of June and the 23rd of July.

Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Yours Faithfully,

    Change 'surgeon' to 'surgery.'

Other than that, it's a very good email.

Change the "Good afternoon" to something else (e.g. 'To whomever this may concern') as it may not be afternoon when they read it.

Opening sentence: Change "inquire" to enquire.

Take out the apostrophe in "GCSE's" (GCSEs).

We don't know what you're applying for, but you should probably go into a bit more detail about what you hope to experience, etc.
