(GCSE) AQA Level 2 Further Maths Paper 1 (Non-Calc) 8360/1 20/06 Watch

    1) Expand and differentiate 3x^2-20x
    2) Multiply out matrices to equal the matrix given and solve a=3 b=-20
    3) n=12
    b) 3/5

    4) (-5, 8)
    b)root'10'

    Graph question with turning point at y=0
    --> coordinates of minimum were (3,0)
    --> k = 9

    (3-root'x' ) ^1/3 = -2
    x = 121

    sinx = root'11'/6
    cosx = +/- 5/6 (not sure whether it's just -5/6 because obtuse or plus/minus???)

    A lot of 'prove that' questions... you'll know if you've got those.
    --> prove that triangle is isosceles
    --> prove that the line segments are perpendicular (prove that -1/m)

    Surds question where it was root + root = root + root'x';
    x = 45

    Factorise x^4-81
    -->(x^2+9)(x^2-9) [1 mark]
    -->(x^2+9)(x-3)(x+3) [1 mark]

    Circle theorems question (cyclic quadrilateral)
    --> x = 39

    7) Write out the integer values, lose one mark for writing it as a range rather than integer values: 9, 10, 11

    9) x^3-15x^2+75x-125

    10) -80
    11) Gradient AB = -5/2, Gradient BC= 2/5
    12) h=3 k=-7
    --> coordinates: (-3, -7)

    14) 3a=3 a=1
    b)(x+2)(x-7)(x-3)

    15) 2 root'7' -4
