I'm voting remain but I'm totally disillusioned at how this thing has been run.

Leave was going to win because the brexiteers memed better than the remain camp, until one brexiteer went mad and killed someone for no reason which the remain camp exploited. Now remain will probably win.

I'm beginning to think that the best countries are places which have no democracy but which give their citizens a high level of personal and economic freedom, provided they don't attempt to overthrow the government. Singapore for example.

I kind of wish celebrities with only a regular person's knowledge of a subject (i.e. people who aren't businessmen, bankers or politicians) wouldn't talk publicly about their political persuasions, especially when they have massive influence and gullible followers.

It just feels undemocratic to me.

Beckham's entitled to have his say, at least he hasn't made up some garbage about how voting leave will lead to some armageddon.

    This.

David Beckham sends his kids to private school, has houses in America (that's what I heard) and I doubt he's had to wait for 8 hours in A and E because he has private health care. He has no idea what's its like for working class people who find it tough to find a school place for their kids and get on the housing ladder.

He's a f****** footballer. Footballers are known for being dumb. It's no surprise he supports remain. Piece of s***.

I'm probably voting remain, but this fully sums up my opinion on David Beckham's "appeal".

Just because he's rich now doesn't mean he's clueless about growing up in a working class environment.

Just when you thought TSR couldn't sprout out some more ****ing idiots.

Obviously. He doesn't ride the bus to work and doesn't live the life of a corproate wageslave. He is not exposed to the real world, how can he make a judgement? Ignorance is bliss.

Its fine though, I did not expect him to come up with a rational judgement anyway.

It should be a criminal offense for celebrities to meddle in politics (even though I do support Remain)

Of course, we shouldn't have celebrities in the first place, but that's another issue

Being rich doesn't eliminate his working class background or his opinion on the subject.

Getting rich then moving abroad and only coming back occasionally to throw the odd comment in, does however.
