So I am scheduled to attend an assessment centre on Friday however I am feeling a bit down because I need to provide proof of degree result. Initially when I applied for this role I was under the assumption that I would have achieved a 2:1, however I have achieved a 2:2. When I check back on the requirement it just says for qualification requirement: a recent graduate or currently in their finale year of degree. It didn't say a specific grade or anything but I feel so discouraged because I have a 2:2 I'm wondering if I should still attend.

If they've not stated they require a 2:1 then go for it and be confident.

While obviously you're at a disadvantage academically against someone with a 2:1 you may find that the interviewer values your institution more than your competitors, or simply feels that despite your grades you show better academic knowledge during any tests they present.

It's also worth nothing that they will be looking for someone you want to work with, so personality and soft skills can also go a long way during these centres.

Be confident, give it a shot and don't regret throwing away this opportunity.

You are there because they think you have the potential. You arent there to take exams, but to show them the other skills you claim to have. Don't feel sorry for yourself, but do yourself justice.

Updated I went to assessment the company thinks that I'm a strong candidate and wants me to do another interview (base on my 2:2 I guess someone else wants to make sure I'm right). The HR lady also recommend me for an another department which isn't front office as that closely matches my profile. I hopefully I get one of the roles.

Thanks for the encouragement if all goes well I will do a final update or new thread.

Just read my post again and keep that in mind. It is what it is, dont make yourself paranoid, but try your best. Good luck.
