Worried about my grades for graduate job watch

    • Thread Starter

I got my second year results and I got 67%. At my University you need 60% for a 2.1 or 70% for a first. My worry is about the spread of my grades. There's a really high standard deviation. 7 out of 9 modules I got a first. 2 out of 9 modules I got low 2.2s. Do you think this would look bad? In my last maths exam I got 50%, but for example in my financial economics exam I got 80% (top 2% of the class). I'm worried the super low grades will look worse than evenly spread grades?

Well they are what they are, and there's no point trying to second guess the thought processes of every single reviewer for every single job application you ever make. Worry about what you can control, and that's improving your grades so that more are at the higher end.
