Going Amsterdam had it book and planned but mates let my down, is it worth going on my own?
I know there are things to do but, just go anyway or would it just be painful?
I really want to go but I'm dubious

I have travelled to countries alone may many times. If you can socialise no problem and have no issues talking to strangers you will be fine.

Don't go then. You can chat to women, get sexual with them if you are good enough of a catcher, meet other groups of guys and go out with them. Explore the city and meet people. But if you are not a person who has zero issues talking to strangers and getting comfy. Don't go.

Definitely go! I love going abroad on my own and always stay in an air b and b and just do my own thing, you don't need to buddy up with strangers to enjoy a beautiful city
