Ok so I'm just wondering how much influence my GCSE's will have on my chances of taking what I want at university, keeping in mind I just finished my GCSE's and haven't even started A levels.
So I predict my GCSE grades to be:
English language: D/C
English literature: B
If I get a D in English (language) and I have to resit it, and taking into consideration the other grades, how will this affect me taking medicine at a university such as Manchester if I get A/A/A in A levels?

I don't think the any med school takes resits at GCSE, but I'm not certain, sorry. Unless you have actual extenuating factors as to why you failed it, I doubt they would even give you a second glance, sorry.
If you get a C, there are a couple of med schools you can apply for, I'm not sure if Manchester is one of them though.
That said, you don't know how accurate your predictions are going to be, they could be wildly wrong, so don't lose all hope yet.
