I'm going on holiday next week for 10 days, but the holiday's booked during the school term, so I'll end up missing 9 days of sixth form! I'm 18 so I was wondering if they could fine me for it? I don't know whether to tell them I'm going away or just say I'm ill for 9 daysMy attendance is already pretty poor because of a sustained illness, any advice would be really appreciated

Sorry you've not had any responses about this. Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.
You can also find the Exam Thread list for A-levels here and GCSE here.

Yeah it seems that if you do go on this holiday, your sixth form will kick you out once and for all. Remember that after GCSE, education is not obligatory so you'll end up applying to another sixth form or going straight into employment.
But then again if you're in upper sixth and have already done all your A2 exams, you should already have been released.
