So I learnt my AS at home last year, and decided to come to college this year, as for some crazy idea I thought college would benefit me, despite getting good grades at home.

For some reason my college thinks its okay for student to just leave exams when they are finished personally instead of waiting till the end of the exam. Its really annoying because they get up and rustle their papers, walk around trying to find their bags ( which are in the middle of the room wtf) and finally leave slamming the door. I have 3 exams now, where towards the last hour, of the two hour exam every 5/10 minutes someone will be standing up, calling an invigilator over, and leaving the room.

I just wondered if there was anyone to complain. Whilst at school I had never experienced such poor exam etiquette. At college they literally let you sit and talk in the exam hall until they decide to hand your papers to you, it seems completely bizarre to me.

You can complain, but I doubt they will actually do anything unless a large number of students also bring it up

I've never seen this happening but for what it is worth, I would complain.

You cna omplain to the exam officer if your aim is to making sure it stops. there are rules to follow as to when people can leave.

It would have to be substantial to complain to the exam board about the way the college is conducting the exams. You arent clear.

You need to just get used to it and not let it distract you. If you go to university this is normal procedure. Invigilators will be called over to students for multiple reasons for duration of the exam, may this be to go to the toilet, to receive extra paper, to ask to leave, or to raise a question dispute.

People leave exams early all the time, and a lot of the time these students don't fill in the front of their answer book correctly, or don't attach extra sheets so the invigilator has to talk to them instead of just saying 'yes'. In many of my exams, the majority of students have left the hall early.

It's just one of those things
