Can I study abroad with a Level 3 Btec?

I've just finished the first year of my Level 3 Creative Media Production course and I received D*D, I'm looking at getting D*D*D next year. My friends in Australia have been trying to get me to consider University over there, which I have looked into and I would love to do.

After looking through what courses they offer to do with Media Production/Film Studies and that they do accept International students at most Universities I started to think it would be a good possibility, however I am unsure as to whether or not they would accept a student with a Level 3 Btec over a student with A Level etc.

If I was to apply to an Australian Uni over the next college year, what are the possibilities that I would be accepted? I understand that there is a lot more stuff to do with finance etc. but right now I would just like to know if a Btec would be acceptable?
