HelloWe are a British family currently living in Singapore because of my husband's job. Our daughter is 15yrs old and going into Year 11, so approaching university choice time and we need to understand more about whether she (and later our 2 sons) will be eligible for 'home' fees and student loans. We first moved abroad just after Katie's 9th birthday, in March 2009. We spent 2.5yrs in India, 2yrs in Egypt, 1yr in the UK and then relocated to Singapore 2yrs ago. During this time we have continued to own our house in Cornwall, only renting it out in the last 2yrs while in Singapore. We regularly return to the UK in school holidays each year. As it stands currently, would Katie be able to claim 'ordinarily resident' status and therefore have 'home' fees and student loans.
