    Hi everyone,

I'm interested to know, to what level are dental students taught things like life support, first aid etc. I see on the university websites that most like to do up to BLS standard but is there anywhere offering more than that? What about post graduation, is there a chance for/advantage in doing an ILS course? Thinking specifically with community or hospital dentistry in mind.

    Thanks in advance,
    Rellov

Probably BLS at an undergraduate level. I'm sure you can optionally take an ILS course or by choice if it is part of a post-graduate specialisation. Why the interest?

There's no particular reason, just curious about the career. Although there was an incident a while ago at my old dentists, and the dentist seemed very good at the first aid side of stuff. Anyway thanks a lot.
