Hey guys, so its been like around 2 months since I've started working at KFC, and for the past couple of days now, my till has been down from like 2-3 quid.....

Recently I was told to train a new guy on my till so I had to let him calculate the change - and him being "my responsibility", on those days I was down by the above amount. I don't know..... I do tend to count the change pretty quick, giving it to the customer, but I'M SURE that I counted every change correctly ( the machine obviously tells me how much change I should give).....I dunno whether I'm doing one of those errors where I think I did it correctly but in reality, without realising, I give an extra quid, or 10 pence....adding up. I got a flippin A* in maths and I can't even do this.....( sound like an arrogant fck i know, i apologise, but it seriously does piss me off, makes me look like a right idiot to my colleagues and manager). I'm scared guys that I am gonna be sacked for this soon if i continue being down...

Could any of you give me any helpful tips when I am on till? Any would be much appreciated

If possible, have someone witness you and sounds silly but double check and ensure that no one else uses your till but you.

When I was at KFC, my co worker's till was down by £50 and was found to be the manager so when your manager uses the till, go next to them immediately.

Count your float at the beginning of the shift. Sounds stupid, but the float could be down before you start.
