    I really do not know how to do this question and it's bugging me, I'm also unsure how to go about converting between moles and all that crap and would really appreciate any help!

    it's not necessary to convert moles for this question.

    we're told the sample contains 3.00E23 carbon atoms, 1/1012 of which are the radioactive isotope C-14

    so how many atoms of C-14 are there in the sample?

    activity = decay constant multiplied by the number of C-14 atoms
