I spent the day with my friend a couple of days ago, it was so mind-numbingly dull that it made me sad that we have so little in common now.

She is really social media/people obsessed, and all she talks about are boys and people from the parties she has been too.She wasn't popular in the past she still isn't but she tries SO HARD to fit in, she calls other girls b*tches and her overall attitude just irritates me. I tried to talk politics/ future plans etc (things that everyone has common) but she didn't really care.

What annoyed me more is that she spent our whole day on her phone and snap chatting things, at one point I had to tell her to stop and she didn't, so on the train journey home I just went on my phone and surfed the news :/

I'm so sad that I've basically lost a friend, can you stay friends with someone you have so little in common with anymore?

you can't blame social media/ technology for you not being freinds
if your friendship was stronger then the chances of this happening is rarer
