it's a sad sad day for little old me. I'm on holiday in Edinburgh and I took the bus from Waverly train station to the old town. During the journey, my phone rang and I answered it. It was my friend calling me. Of course, as I am from the Midlands, I have a noticeable English accent, one that is quite middle class, not posh not working class but just like a normal student accent.

About halfway through my conversation with my friend, these two Scottish men approached me while I was sitting in my seat, and started to call me names like' English Scum and much worse ... '

The worst thing about it was that no one on the bus stood up for me and everyone was quiet. This left me thinking that everyone on the boss agrees with the horrible men who assaulted me.

It got so intense that I was forced to get off the bus at the next stop.
Fortunately for me, I got off in a main shopping area so there were plenty of people around to stop the men from also getting off and harassing me Further...

Obviously this is on the bus CCTV, so I am seriously thinking about going to the police. But I wonder if Scottish police are corrupt and actually hate English people so I wonder if I should go to English police instead?
I feel so terrible and can't stop shaking…

I would suggest going to the police. This type of garbage needs to stop. Perhaps the police will act on this (or perhaps that is too optimistic).

Sorry this happened, it is not right.

Or just man up and get on with it and stop wasting police resources.

Realise they're being immature and ignore it or go to the police
