If you don't get the results you want in AS, can you redo the year again or not?

Yes, but I think it depends on your college/sixth form if you are allowed to do the same subjects again.

As the new linear a levels wont take into account AS I don't think so. But with moduler ones you can

EDIT: Sorry didn't realise you were talking about the year, not exams. You should be able to retake the year, but unis prefer to have a levels done over 2 years so its better to just carry on. Plus the AS exams don't count if you carry on

Don't worry, just make sure you keep up in lesson, and go over any new content you're learning constantly and you'll be fine

What do you mean they don't count I thought like the grade is part of your overall result?

The a levels that have been reformed (linear ones) mean that the exam you take at the end of AS will not contribute to you final a level grade, if you continue to year 13. But some a levels are still modular, so the AS counts for half of the final a level grade.

As far as I'm aware al the sciences are linear, maths and further maths are modular
I think geography, history and DT are modular whereas politics, economics and computer science are linear. Not sure about any others, and not 100% certain on the ones I've mentioned either,
