This man's reaction the day after the Hillsborough disaster was not to send sympathy or condolance to the 96 families who lost a son, daughter, father etc. but to invent libels against the Liverpool supporters , claiming they had urinated on the bodies of the dying or stolen their possessions. ( Spectator editorial ).

This tells you everything you need to know about him. Untrustworthy, nasty, devoid of all proper human feeling.

Do we want him as the leader of the Conservative Party? Do we want him as our representative abroad? Can we trust anything he says?

He seems somewhat optimistic in assuming we'll have unfettered access to the single market yet be able to erect barriers to migration.

He's changed his vocals now, now sounding like a tuck shop banter man.

    He'll never ever be PM!

Bridges are the last thing that should be built. We only have two options- stay in the EU or civil war. The ball is in the leavers' court. If they really have any moral compass they will choose not to spill blood

The whole of the Western world is built upon liberal, and sometimes leftist, values. Are you sure you don't just mean the regressive left? Coz I would want them out of the picture as much as the extremist right.

Until such a time as he actually presents an exit plan there is no point in listening.

If your expecting Boris to be anything approaching true blue, you'll be dissapointed. He's a populist devoid of ideology.

That said, he does have Gove on board which makes the choice a little harder.

Maybe don't threaten civil war if you don't want blood to be spilled?

Well generally dour, miserable, pessimistic people get diddly squat in negotiations. The saying isn't 'Who doesn't dare wins'.

The dodgy ******* is going to try and hide his volte farce and lies 'out of respect for the 48' so we'll stay in the Single market And get free movement' , which is perfectly reasonable other than it directly contravening what Nima no others have said.

True, but negotiations should know there are rules and standards to abide by.

Calling your negotiations partner 'Nazis' and openly saying you want to destroy its central institution is not a good start to negotiations. Neither is expecting to get something that you couldn't get when you were a part of that group. Free movement is non negotiable. The EU may as well ask us in return to put the Queen on page 2 of the Sun, like all Institutions , just like the UK their central aim is survival. If humbling the UK damages their economy so be it- we would have done the same if Scotland had left.

It's like a partner in a business leaving the company, trashing the workplace, taking a big dump on the floor, telling the chairman's wife she should leave him, calling all the other workers a bunch of tossers and wondering why he's not invited to the work Christmas party on the way to the local job centre.
