I will be applying for BSc statistics with Finance, which requires 3 As. In my GCSEs I got 8A*s and 2 As. Currently doing A-levels in Math, Further Math, Physics and Russian(plus French which I am dropping next year).
I did the entire Alevel Math this year I.e in year 12; If I fail to get an A* would it be worth me resitting one of the modules to get the 90%? (Even though I would have got an A, which will suffice). Surely a re-sit won't look good on my application, but at the same time the potential A* coukd hugely strengthen it? What do you guys think?

It'd be worth it, most likely. Chances are you would need to resit C3 or C4 or both (rather than any other units, unless you did very well in C3/C4 and not very well in other modules). I don't know a huge amount about LSE but I'd hope that they'd rather you had an A* with a resit than an A with no attempt to resit. Even then, it's not just LSE you're applying to, so it'd definitely strengthen your application (or open more doors for you) to unis that require an A* (in maths or otherwise) where they may not particularly care about resits.
