I'm not immune to measels i found out after an occupational health check, im studying nursing and work on wards. I had 1 MMR vaccine in early childhood at about age 5 and a single measels vaccine at about age 9. Im immune to rubella tests showed but ive no antibodies detected for measels. The occy health nurse said theres no point giving another and told me to just be careful. I have been using a steroid nasal spray daily for the past 6 years to control rhinitis and on the info leaflet it says that it can increase suceptability to measels snd chicken pox, so im windering if this has lowered my immunity. The occy health nurse said that its not known to/not a typical thing to happen. Worried about getting measels, just wanted advice. Am i likely to get severe complications if i do catch it as an adult?
