Which uni are you going to again? The concrete jungle in Norwich, isn't it?
No I'm off to Edinburgh. Some insults I've already had hurled at me about it that you might want to use.....

- I didn't know you were that posh, or are you just pretending?!?
- Not good enough for an English uni?!?
- There are clever people in Scotland?!?

Although I'm sure you can find something other than the rah factor, oxbridge wannabe status or the fact it is in Scotland to attack!!! Come on suprise me!!!

Why is it? Neither Oxford or Cambridge offer Dentistry - doesn't make either of them substandards Universitys!

I think its the stupid amount of students from public school being on the same level as Durham that creates that one.

dentistry is not a traditional subkject - oxbridge offer traditional subjects. Not that many universities offer dentistry comparing to geography

Well...I'd have said it was more a Durham wannabe place than an Oxbridge wannabe place...

Oh, and the last intellectual who anyone had actually heard of who wanted to work there was Hume. And that was 300 years ago. And they turned him down.

Ahem.

Thats just going too far....I'd never compare Warwick to a Durham. For a start I think Warwick students have actually heard the word "fun" before.

Warwick is a cool university. OK, so Coventry is not the most attractive city in the country, but the campus is great, the union is fantastic, it is surrounded by lovely countryside but only half an hour away from the Bullring in Birmingham for shopping. (Close enough for easy shopping, but far away enough to end up with half the student debt of girls who go to Birmingham Uni )

I didn't know they don't do Geography, possibly because I dropped the subject as soon as I could in year 9. They don't do Music either.

(a) Not True
(b) If it were then I for one would rather pay the money and go somewhere with more than 3 good places to go out.

It is true if you have a shopping habit like mine. Anyway, you can go out in Birmingham every so often too. Plus the union is better at Warwick.

Of course it is, with a crap union, any aspirations about social activity would be dead in the water (in deepest Coventry ).

I've been to both unions on several occassions, and yes, Warwick's is impressive, nice Arts Centre and bookshop too. Let's face it though - they need it. Besides, the nicest cafe on campus (decked out in all manner of chrome fittings) is a complete ripoff. Same for the Varsity pub by the main entrance.

Birmingham Uni students can spend ten minutes on a bus and be in clubland.

There are frequent buses to Birmingham and plenty of people at Warwick have cars. I know what's coming next, but it doesn't affect me. I don't drink.
