Hi, I have double nationality, I was born in Italy and always lived there but I also have a UK passport - even though I have never lived in the UK- as my father is British. Should I apply for a postgraduate loan as a UK national or EU national?
I'm not sure I meet the eligibility requirements as a UK national, as I have never lived in the UK.

    Thank you

    Hi,

as you're ordinarily resident in Italy you should apply as an EU national.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    thanks for your feedback.

The first question you're asked in the application process is "are you a UK national"? and you can only answer YES or NO. Wouldn't be a "lie" if I answered NO? or by "national" they mean only someone that ordinarily lives in the UK?

    Thanks again

    Hi LucVB

As part of your application we'll also ask you to provide 3 years previous address history.

Identifying as a UK national or as an EU national but giving 3 years of addresses in Italy - you'd still probably be eligible however you could only study in England.

    Thanks
