Is there any year 10 students or other on work experience these few days and would you consider going back to that organisation/company again?

If I could give anyone any advice about work experience it would be to get a break down of exactly what you're going to do.

When I was in Year 10 I went to do my experience at a scientific company and was told there were labs there, I thought great! I love biology and chemistry, I can't wait to be shown around and gain some experience... I was in an office making tea and doing data entry the whole time. I fell asleep on the first day in a meeting. I went back on the second day and went home sick after three hours and then never went back for the rest of the two weeks.

My friend went to a vet for her work experience and instead of petting the animals and helping with examinations like she thought, she was also confined to desk work and put down around 40 animals in the two weeks she was there. She is not studying to be a vet presently.

Teachers at my school tended to just want to chuck a kid into anything and get it over with. Just make sure when you apply you know exactly what you're getting into and remember, you're there without pay for two weeks, you will be given the grunt work that no one else wants to do unless you ask for a breakdown! Sorry if this was a bit of a buzzkill

Go to the place and ask them if they offer work experience instead of emails

Check out another place then but it's better if you physically go there rather than phone calls or emails
