I am currently working as an fy1 and have been told to do 4 months extra as I have taken over 20 days off.

My question is how will this gets on FY2? Will I need to take the remaining 8 months out? Will this affect my specialist training?

Thank you for the help in answering my questions?

Sorry to hear this, must be difficult after such a tough year. Have your foundation school not given you a plan? Did you have an F2 job lined up? My gut feeling would be that they would let you progress straight to F2 if you successfully complete the extra 4 months as an F1, and just go into your second rotation and continue past next August until you've completed it. But this is based on nothing more than intuition. Talk to your ES and/or Foundation Programme Director ASAP to work out what will be happening.
