What's worse if you gamble 40-£60 a day and you don't get nothing back or buying expensive clothes like jackets for £80 a lot

Plenty of people gamble and still have enough money to cover the essential things. Not all gamblers are the degenerate addicts you see on Jeremy Kyle

Think it honestly depends on what type of gambling you do (e.g. scratchcards are obviously a waste of moniez), but for the average member of the population I'd say yes.

Well if you re good and guaranteed to win then it's better but I don't think many people have the money to just throw around like that.

Gambling is only a waste of money if you an addict and do it constantly. Maybe once a month is fine, another more is just a waste.

IF you really want to gamble and get rich then:
1) get a good degree from a good uni (i.e. finance / PPE / engineering)
2) do some internships at several banks
3) get on a graduate Investment banking scheme
4) gamble with a brain and make big bucks
it makes much more sense to get a £80 jacket than gamble £60 on football results

What he said - if you absolutely feel you must gamble do not go to a casino, go online or call a brokage firm for high volatility stocks. When you own a lot of capital you can make an additional 20-30% to your annual income on relatively safe blue chip stocks with large quantity of shares.

It's blue chip not cheap. Blue chip companies are huge companies with massive market capitalisations, their shares are generally quite expensive and don't usually have a particularly high yield

Walk into any casino. Plush carpets and giant chandeliers. Who do you think usually wins?
Betting companies also have thousands of bets on all outcomes of something, and adjust their ratios accordingly. Tey have very little interest in which way something goes; what they lose in giving to you they make back on those who bet on another outcome. You have much more to lose than they do, and also much less to win.
In short, for anything other than a bit of fun, it's a complete waste of money! Although I have never engaged in it (and do not intend to do so), I can see that it could be fun in moderation.

If you are going to gamble do it properly.
First of all do not play casino games online. Go to a casino in London. I recommend Crockford's.
Play something like Blackjack which has an element of skill. Read books about it. Learn basic strategy. Learn to card count. Bet small. Don't drink. And most importantly of all, black tie.
