I was debating between Durham, UCL, and KCL for law last year and I chose Durham in the end. I would say Durham and LSE are on par academically and better than KCL. Durham and LSE have a better domestic reputation, but Durham lacks in international reputation to both LSE and KCL, although it has been rising in rankings lately.
Having accepted that all three universities are more or less equal academically (UCL, KCL, Durham), I chose the one that fitted me the most in terms of location, character of the university and its people, and the support given to students. Also, graduate prospects for Durham students are very high.
