    You can literally do whatever you want.

    You just need to be liked enough to be nominated, have enough money or fundraising ability to pay for each election, charisma to be elected; but more importantly work your way through the party till you get a safer seat. Or get famous / expertise from somewhere else such that they'll place you somewhere better first.
    People skills + experience. No-one cares about what A levels you do.

    Best way is to probably be white, English, go to public school and have influential parents. If you've got that then you're more than halfway there.
