I'm currently living with a family friend, who's in her 50s. (I'm 25) She has a son who's about 2 or 3 years younger than me, and I find him very attractive.

he stays at the house from time to time ,but I've only really briefly seen him around 3 times. The first two times we just said hi to each other, but I saw him again yesterday, and it was just the two of us in the house.

I asked him how he was and how his exams had gone, and he replied, but didn't really look at me much and didn't ask me anything. I'm not sure if he was just shy, or just not iinterested really..

I'm really not sure how to go about it, do you think I should say something to his Mum? (Who I live with..) or would that make it awkward?

It's hard because he's hardly ever here, he just passes from time to time, and it's hard to get time to have a proper conversation with him... any advice? Thanks

Flirt with him slightly, and see if he twigs. Don't mention it to his mum though, except in passing e.g. "your son is lovely"

Wander round in your bra and pants and say what do you think of my figure. Should give you an inkling of what's what.

Flirt? Briefly seen him 3 times? God damn! This train's moving fast! Would perhaps be too fast for the young man...
