    I have been asked for my 1st 2nd and 3rd preference of basic training bases in order of which I would rather go to? I would like to know what peoples opinions are? what's good? what's bad? which would you prefer to go to? thanks in advance.

    You get a choice? That never used to happen, you were sent to wherever your cap badge trained their recruits and that was that.

    Sorry not much help to you other than a bump of this thread. What options do you have to choose from?

    it was my local AFCO that asked for my choice. But I have pirbrite, Winchester and catterick to choose from. A friend in the army said that when he joined 2 years ago he didn't get a choice.

    One of my sons is an officer in the Army. 15 years service. He went where he was sent.
