    Hi all!

I'm about to start my A Level computer science project for the new specification, and was wondering if it's okay to use the Processing compiler rather than pure Java? I just figured it'd make things a bit neater to program, but I don't want to upset AQA :P

    Thanks in advance~

Sorry you've not had any responses about this. Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.

You can also find the Exam Thread list for A-levels here and GCSE here. :dumbells:

    According to the specification

    permissable languages are:

    • C#• Java• Pascal/Delphi• Python• VB.Net

Despite working as a developer for 16 years, I too have no idea what a processing compiler is, but as long as it is one of the above, you should be fine.

    Good luck!

No code generation, it trivialises the task.

Thank you! I didn't realise the languages were listed. And for the other people that replied, Processing is a version of Java that essentially cuts out all the bloat-y code

Fair enough - but a word of warning. Keep it simple Simon. Remember that it will be teachers marking your work, not Google employees.

    Good luck!
