Hi, have you applied yet? If not, include any previous work experience. If you have non, emphasise your related skills and how you got them, whether that's extra curricular activities in school/college, volunteering, playing on a sports team etc. Include information about your education, including exam grades. Make sure any gaps in your history are explained and make sure you know who your references will be! There's loads of different CV templates online. The NCS website is quite helpful on this.

thanks! I do have work experience, but none related to retail. In this case, should I adjust my experiences to sound more retail orientated?

No problem! Any kind of work experience is good and will have given you skills that would help you in retail. Make sure to mention those. For example, working in a dog kennels you would have experience in working in a high pressure environment. Doing work experience at a school would've given you experience in working with lots of new people. Both would've given you experience of working in an unpredictable environment. The skills are completely transferable
