After stripping Britain of its last remaining top-notch credit rating, dropping it by two grades from AAA to AA, Standard and Poor’s has taken its axe to the EU.
The bloc has been downgraded to AA with a stable outlook reflecting the EU’s “weakening political cohesion” after Britain voted to leave the EU.
In a statement S&P said: “After the decision by the UK electorate to leave the EU as a consequence of the June 23 consultative referendum, we have reassessed our opinion of cohesion within the EU, which we now consider to be a neutral rather than positive rating factor.

If the UK finally leaves it will recover in my opinion
