Mushy pea shortages and Sunday Dinner

Anyone else experiencing dire mushy pea shortages 'of epidemic proportions'?

We went eeeeeverywhere (not literally obviously, just round the local area) yesterday and every supermarket/mini food store said they were sold out of mushy peas, had been for some time and don't know when the next delivery.

Oh I do hope they have some for next week - Sunday dinners just aren't the same without them.

Which leads me to another question.....what do you have on your Sunday dinner? When do you have it? If you have one at all that is. I have a meat of choice, usually lamb or pork, with: mash, yorkshire pudding (x2), broccoli, cauliflower, sprouts, mushy peas (unless there's a shortage of course) and roasties. Mmmmm........1 O'Clock.

*shakes head* My god man, I don't know whether to pity or respect your distinct lack of peas of the mushy variety. All I can say is you're missing out.

I don't like tinned produce.

Surely you can just buy some ordinary peas, then get a big hammer type thing and mush them?

Mushy peas are disgusting....

Either roast beef with yorkshire puddings (x2) and plenty of roasties, or chicken in a nice sauce, again with roast potatoes.
Eaten around 7pm.

I was talking about frozen mushy peas. Which are gorgeous, and I just had to eat my dinner without them, which broke my heart. How I love those mushy peas.
