So I'm in Y11 I want to get some sort of work experience related to maths. I've heard that I should contact the maths department at my local university - but I'm not entirely sure what I would do there. Is there any real work experience you can do in maths at a university?

You don't really need work experience for maths, it's more about getting good grades.

Work experience or a part time job would be helpful for you when you graduate though. You'll need to be able to give examples of time management and how you managed certain situations when you apply for grad jobs.

Thanks . Is there anything you think I could do during the summer to improve my uni application?
