I originally took Edexcel Single maths modules C1 C2 C3 C4 S1 D1 at sixth form to make up my A-level(a few years ago). I didn’t get a good grade. I retook single maths this year but I replaced S1 D1 with M1 and M2. My question is when my papers have been marked will Edexcel give me a new certificate in single maths A-level constructed from the modules C1-C4 and M1, M2? My worry is that Edexcel will ignore my M1 and M2 grades and merely re-calculate my old certificate in maths A-level, taking my new grades in C1-C4 and adding those marks to my old overall grade certificate with S1 and D1. Thus getting a less overall grade and having M1 and M2 left to the side.

Can anyone re-assure me that Edexcel will take the best 6 module grades from the 8 that I have and indeed give me a new certificate (I don’t care about the actual physical hard copy) with the new arrangement of modules (C1-C4 M1 M2)

I'm pretty sure they will pick the best 2 applied modules when awarding your A Level Maths.

Even if they don't, you can swap the modules around to meet your preferences on results day provided they lead to an overall change in your grade.
