I'm predicted to get BBB this results day (however one B is in an AS Level - Geography) and haven't applied through UCAS although I've done my personal statement and everything because I didn't think I wanted to go to uni however now I've decided that I want to study mental health nursing at any university and I was wondering if there was any way I could apply now on the chance that there might be some clearing spaces available? Does anyone know how this works/what the chances would be of me getting a place? Any help would be really appreciated thanks

You're very unlikely to get in if you only have 2 A Levels and one AS, as mental health nursing is very over subscribed. You can try, but prepare to be disappointed.

You would be better to take a year to gain 3 A Levels, do a lot of work experience, and apply through the usual ucas process.

This is not quite nursing but an amazing new course set up by southampton university (Russell group) to place you into health care management
developing skills which you could use in work place environment or use to the go on and do a postgraduate in medicine.
    I'll leave the link here:
    http://www.southampton.ac.uk/healths....page#overview
Its a very small course which means good contact hours and assistance. Thoroughly recommend to anyone who's interested in a career in medicine and the health care industry.
