    Hi,
I would like to be a journalist when I'm older, and I'm wondering what courses are best to take.

There is a Journalism course but the college is quite far away, although I will go there if I must.

I thought maybe English Language, but is that hard if I only get say a B in my GCSES?

Anyway, just any courses you recommend got journalism and I'll take a look.

    Thanks

IMO you shouldn't do a journalism degree. Very few of those in the BBC or writing in the proper (not tabloid) newspapers will have such a degree. Focus on whatever degree you want, if you're interested in the world of finance - do a business or economics degree. For an 'all-rounder' English Language, Literature, Politics or History IMO are the best degrees for such a career.

The most important thing will be what you do with your extra time during your uni years. Work experience and/or student journalism will be more beneficial than the degree itself.

Would do a humanities subject at uni, then get on one of the certified NCTJ courses for post-grad.
