I am really keen on attending the University of Nottingham to study the undergraduate BSc Hons Psychology course. However, having reviewed the entry requirements and discovering they require a B in English and Maths for GCSE. I got a B in maths but a C in English. The other entry requirements (AAB) are achievable but will I be refused an offer due to the C grade I achieved in English?
    Many thanks!

    Hi,
I found myself worrying about the same thing last year (year 13 now) when applying! To be honest, I wouldn't worry about it TOO much. If the rest of your GCSEs and your AS levels are strong, with a strong personal statement, they will be of much more importance than one GCSE. I'm not saying it's totally irrelevant, but if you're a good enough student they wouldn't overlook you just for that! They may give you an offer, but a requirement may be that you have to retake English to get your B. Good luck
