Any personal statement advice for getting onto a Comparative Literature degree?

Currently in Year 12 about to start applications and was wondering if anyone had any tips for writing a personal statement aimed at comparative literature. I've attended lectures about Japanese cultural activities such as the tea ceremony and am completing an EPQ about the influence pop culture has had on Japan. Is there anything else I can do to make my application stand out?
