So I've been having sex frequently and haven't been using any other form of protection other than the mini pill. The past five days or so I've been feeling sick, have experienced lower back pain that felt like it was pushing through to my stomach and have extremely sore breasts. I feel like my stomach is hard and is becoming more round, do you think it's all in my head or should I be worried?

You are worried, so it's probably pregnancy test time. The supermarket own-brand tests / ones from Poundland etc are much cheaper than the bigger names and as reliable.

If it comes up negative, you can book a GP appointment and test again in a couple of weeks.

I've got a doctors appointment in a few days time, will they give me a blood test or a stick pregnancy test?

Dunno. You might get given a stick pregnancy test, or they might say 'buy one'. Why would you get a blood test?
