    I think it's because we get so comfortable with what we have that we never seem to entertain the possibility of it being taken away from us.

    But it's certainly unwise to take things for granted.

    Because we tend to overlook/not notice the small things people do for us and when they're gone it's a huge slap to the face because you don't have those things anymore.
