Still finding it hard to not think about her 5 years on. Watch

She's not an ex girlfriend or anything. I met her in the summer of 2010 and we instantly clicked. It felt like every part of me was screaming for her. I'm more than certain that she felt exactly the same way but there was too much between us and it stayed at that.

Long story short I cut her out of my life. I blocked her on everything. I thought it would help me move on, but it hasn't.

I guess this is karma for being such an ice-cold prick...

Is there any chance I can stop thinking about her?

I guess I just want to chat with someone or some people about it... it'll help!

Why don't you just speak to her?

I don't understand, what made you stop talking to her?

I didn't think it was going anywhere and there was the distance, education and money in the way.

She came over to my hometown with her best friend. Her best friend told me that she thought she was falling in love with me but was torn...

I just couldn't handle it anymore, it was affecting me so much, so I had to cut it all off...

So it's actually 6 years? Not 5.... She must have been real special. You need to go out and socialise ASAP. Don't be one of those people that holds onto one person for a lifetime, more fish in the sea.

he should try to speak to her, there's a reason he can't seem to forget her years on. Unfortunately, that's what happens when you develop feelings or attachments sometimes, they haunt you like a ***** :argh:

I've severed contact with loads of girls in the past, and have not spoken to them since. There's quite often no benefit in doing so, and only serves to re-open old wounds.

Distracting oneself, improving oneself and generally focusing on living one's life is the best cure.
