    Hi guys,

I had Implanon inserted 1 month ago now and since then I am a completely different person! I never feel happy anymore, I'm always agitated and I can't help but argue with everyone, especially my boyfriend! It is causing a massive strain on my relationship with family and friends too and I know for a fact I was completely fine beforehand.

I am going to family planning clinic this week to have ask for a removal but I am worried they will refuse, are they able to refuse as this is my body and should be my choice??

Sorry to hear it's affected you badly! I'm 99% sure you can have it removed when you want, they can't exactly leave you suffering

I've had mine since December and the first 3 months are hectic because of the hormonal imbalance so mood swings and such . I think 1 month is too early for removal. From what i've heard it's usually around 6 months to a year.
And with most hormonal contraception, it will change your mood slightly. I just think I was lucky to have an understanding boyfriend and when I felt off, I would tell him and he knew how to approach me.
And it also helped that I got him to read the brochure so he knew what was included and the side effects.

And I know your body is your choice, but it was also your choice to get it 1 month ago, it's just might cause a big bruise to your arm.
