Cancer Research UK is a big one for me and my friends. I also like fundraising for the BHF because I've done a lot with them in the past and I think they're very supportive of fundraiser a and give lots if materials.

so my uodate is this so far:

In my first 2 weeks of summer, I've already crossed off 2 of my bucket list items! I now have a second job working as a waitress (but not in a cocktail bar (heads up if you got the reference)) which I totally adore. It'so so much better than my other job, although I am going to keep that one as well in case I get the odd shift here or there for extra cash.

My main things this summer is to get as much money as possible for uni. My mum made a very good point that an ensuite (which I would need medically) is only £10 a week extra at my top uni choice. Therefore, every shift I work is at least 2 weeks worth of ensuite for my first year (and at £6.50 an hour, I'll be at a whole year's worth in no time!).

I have also stopped biting my nails - again- this week. This is the 3rd time I've stopped and I probably should make more of an effort now haha

I have tomorrow off as well so I'm hoping for a disney day tomorrow before work all weekend

See you guys soon and have a good summer xx

OK technically I haven't done this one yet but my organisational skills are on point! I have 3 money boxes (I kept getting them for christmas one year for some reason). In one, I put at least half of my wages after each shift. In another, I put all my tips from work. In the third, I put the rest of my wages. The last one is the only one that I'm allowed to spend from. The other two HAVE to be saved up for uni. My plan is that an ensuite room (which I may need medically) is roughly £10-£15 extra a week. My wages are more than that for each day, so at the end of each shift, I put at least £15 into my savings jar and that has paid for another week on ensuite at uni!

I got a train alone for the first time this week! It was a big deal for me as my GAD causes me to struggle with a lot of things in public and alone, so even a 45 minute train journey was scary enough. I managed it though and I'm a little more confident to visit my grandparents now in Wales on the train alone! I also got my provisional license in the mail this week (eventually!) and my first lesson should have been today but has switched to tomorrow. I'm actually really excited to start driving. It means I won't have tp pay £6 to go 5 miles down the road to work on the bus anymore!

Today is my friend's birthday and no one else is available to do anything, which is sad, but we're the two closest in the group so we have arranged to go shopping tomorrow and I'm staying at hers in the evening before work.

My shift pattern at work has also changed so I now only work every other saturday instead of each saturday and I'll do one day in the week instead so I have part of my weekend back for a while, including tomorrow which is nice so I can spend the time with my friend.

Wow, this has been a productive couple of days!

So I haven't technically gone to the finals yet but I'm not sure when this contest ends and the finals might be after the closing date. But my team got through and my dad's didn't (yuusss!) so now they're all coming and switching allegience for a day!

And the £200 was actually a real surprise! I did an event with some friends at our local village fair this week for a local charity set up in memory of our friend's dad. We were just selling things and doing games on a stall but we managed to raise an amazing £246! Our village is so charitable

So my brother came home yesterday! He's training to be in the merchant navy and is in his first year of being a cadet. He spends September until February at college, then goes to sea until summer. It's been his first time away alone and we're so happy to have him back. He's only home for about 3 weeks until he has to go back to college but we're making the most of it while he's here.

In other news, our tickets to the rugby finals at Wembly arrived this week. We're very excited to be going and we have great seats high up on the try line.

It's results day next week, and.... yeah let's not talk about that just yet...

I'm still waiting to cook a meal for my friends but they're all so busy on holiday or doing sport training so I haven't seen them for a while now. On the plus side, I've been experimenting with new recipes for myself and for uni as well. My favourite so far is my homemade chicken carbonara sauce.

I am more than halfway done with my QGA!! It's been tough but I'm loving every second of it!! One year left...

Also, I thought I'd share my AS results as well. I only took 3 subjects (I dropped one earlier this year to improve biology) and I ended up with AAB!! I cried on results day (that's number 9 ticked off haha) because I genuinely expected a D this year. I've quit a subject, had 2 private lunch sessions a week with my teacher, been to see the doctor about my stress levels, and cried after the exam because my answers were different to everyone else's so now can you see why I was worried about my results?
haha thank you :h: I worked so hard for those!!
it's the end of the challenge and I'm pleased to have crossed off half of my bucket list! It's been a fab summer and I can't wait until next time!!!
