Are Samaritans volunteers generally older people? Are there many people in their 20s who do it?

In my local branch it is mainly 30 year olds, although due to the times they are open I've noticed that younger people generally do early morning/late night and older people do during the day.. although it does alter..

Not necessarily. All branches will be different. At my information event and interview there were mainly young people.
Even still, who cares? Your focus should be on what you're there to do- support people.
