Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of Sheffield's reputation compared to Bristol's for Politics&IR? I know it's the experience you gain during your degree that is most important and I believe I have enough motivation to gain successful experience from both universities. From what i know, they both rank similarly with Politics. In general, has one university got a better reputation overall for graduate employers? (eg is a graduate preferred from one of them). Both offer the study year abroad which is a must for me. I completed my A-levels two years ago and got AAA but went straight into employment.. i have unconditional offers from both and struggling to choose. Any help/advice would be great - thanks.

    Hi,
I study Quantitative Social Sciences at Sheffield and do quite a few politics modules which I really enjoy. I'd completely recommend the University. Also, Sheffield provides lots of opportunities throughout the year for you to meet prospective employers as well as having an excellent careers service which can help you with finding graduate employment. If you have any questions at all about the University or the city in general feel free to ask me.
