    It's my friend's birthday soon, and she's invited me to the party. I really want to get her an amazing present. She's a bookworm, and likes things like 'Me before you', 'Paper Towns', 'Monsters of Men', 'Maggot Moon', 'Rebecca' The Alex Rider series, and she absolutely adores Harry Potter. We often have philosophical arguments, or argue about things in the harry potter series. She knows all the theories to HP already. She's going to be fourteen. Does anyone know any good books she might enjoy that I could get her, or any authors to look out for?

    If she likes Alex Rider then maybe she'd like the Young Bond series by Charlie Higson? Personally my favourite author is Ben Elton, he writes books about some quite deep stuff while keeping them satirical, he's done some serious stuff about the war and the world ending but then also some clever takes on stuff like Big Brother and the X Factor.

    Miss peregrines home for peculiar children is a good one to read she'll definitely like it. It has a sort of Harry Potter tone to it a bit and is also having a movie out soon!

    Also;
    Savvy
    Shadow Web
    Unhooking the moon

    Give the blurbs a good read but these are three books I wouldn't miss reading no matter what genre I enjoyed. They're absolutely great!!
