If I were to get a medicine degree instead of a nursing degree could I still potentially become a nurse anaesthetist?

You can be what you wanna be.
My auntie did a Fine Art degree, and has worked her way up in the medical industry, from being a cleaner, to a nurse, to a midwife ect, they now call her a "sister" but god knows what that means.

I don't see why you would want to? You'd be qualified to become a fully fledged anaesthesiologist after training.

There's no such role in the uk. You can do medicine and eventually become an anaesthetist though.
