B1007 – Gender, Sex, and Discrimination Bill 2016, Nigel Farage MEP MP
Gender, Sex, and Discrimination Bill 2016
A bill to end the concept of gender in the United Kingdom and modify discrimination laws.

BE IT ENACTED by The Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Commons in this present Parliament assembled, in accordance with the provisions of the Parliament Acts 1911 and 1949, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

    1: Genders and Sex

    1) The use of gender on official documents will be replaced by the use of sex.
    2) The two options will be male and female.

    2: Identification

    1) People who identify as male will have Mr before their name on official documents.
    2) People who identify as female will have Ms before their name on official documents.
    3) Hermaphrodites will have a DNA test conducted to check for a Y a chromosome.
aaaaaa) Hermaphrodites with a Y chromosome present will be considered male.

    3: Public Toilets

    1) All public toilets will be male, female and disabled in classification.
    2) People should use the public toilet that fits their sex.

    4: Changing Rooms

    1) Public changing rooms will be separated by a male and female divide.
    2) Each sex must use the appropriate changing room.

    5: Discrimination

    1) Private establishments reserve the right to discriminate against customers on grounds of gender or sexual orientation.
    2) Private organisations may not discriminate on any grounds when employing a person except;
aaaaaa) on grounds of nationality where the private organisation may choose a British citizen over a non-British citizen.
    3) Public organisations may not discriminate against anyone on any grounds.

    6: LGBT+ Recognition

    1) The LGBT+ movement shall be known as LGB+

    7: Minority Group Funding

    1) All public money to minority groups will cease.

    8: Teaching

    1) Children in schools will only be taught about the biological sexes.
    2) The concept of gender will not be introduced to children in schools.

8: Short Title, Commencement, and Extent

    1) This bill may be cited as the Gender, Sex and Discrimination Bill 2015.
    2) This bill will be enacted straight away following Royal Ascent.
    3) This bill shall extend to the whole of the United Kingdom.

    Notes

Using biological sex over gender ends the debate around trying to be gender neutral, and allowing establishments to discriminate against people based on sexual orientation allows a bed and breakfast to deny renting a room to a gay couple on religious beliefs. Companies will nearly always choose not to discriminate against anyone to avoid backlash or for business reasons, but it should not be a requirement for them apart from sex discrimination which is illegal.

Councils in the UK are starting to install additional public toilets labelled gender neutral to satisfy the complaints of the LGB+ group. I believe the cost of these extra toilets cannot be justified when budgets are being cut, and the problem can be easily solved by replacing the use of gender with the use of biological sex, of which people are male or female. Hermaphrodites can be DNA tested to see if they were meant to be male or female.

Absolutely and unequivocally Nay. We'll go through it Section by section.

    1: Genders and Sex

    1) The use of gender on official documents will be replaced by the use of sex.
    2) The two options will be male and female.
I don't see this as necessary whatsoever (though it obviously is should the bill pass). It makes much more sense for people to be identified by how they identify themselves.

Firstly, you'd need to cost forcing every single hermaphrodite to take a DNA test. For those that wish to keep it private, you risk their privacy, and it is also completely unnecessary.

    3: Public Toilets

    1) All public toilets will be male, female and disabled in classification.
    2) People should use the public toilet that fits their sex.
Are you going to have someone standing at the entrance to toilets checking every single entrants sex? How are you going to implement it? Same with Section 4.

    5: Discrimination

    1) Private establishments reserve the right to discriminate against customers on grounds of gender or sexual orientation.
    2) Private organisations may not discriminate on any grounds when employing a person except;
aaaaaa) on grounds of nationality where the private organisation may choose a British citizen over a non-British citizen.
    3) Public organisations may not discriminate against anyone on any grounds.
    1) How are they going to check their gender or sexual orientation?
    2) This is worrying, sickening and disturbing. It's nice to see UKIP do not believe in equality at all.

    6: LGBT+ Recognition

    1) The LGBT+ movement shall be known as LGB+
You can't just change the name of an entire movement....

    7: Minority Group Funding

    1) All public money to minority groups will cease.
The money is necessary to push for the equality of opportunity. Could also potentially remove the need for positive discrimination (which I'm personally not a fan of, at least in theory).

    8: Teaching

    1) Children in schools will only be taught about the biological sexes.
    2) The concept of gender will not be introduced to children in schools.
You shouldn't be teaching children to be close-minded. By teaching children about gender, it allows them to find themselves. You also need to clarify from what ages this isn't allowed, if it's solely in public schools, any punishments, etc.

8: Short Title, Commencement, and Extent

    1) This bill may be cited as the Gender, Sex and Discrimination Bill 2015.
    2) This bill will be enacted straight away following Royal Ascent.
    3) This bill shall extend to the whole of the United Kingdom.
    Numbering issue there.

Overall, this bill is outdated, archaic and just completely abhorrent. It completely discriminates against a sector of society.

That alone is bad enough but the bill isn't even well written. If you're going to write a controversial, disgusting bill, at least make sure you dot the i's and cross the t's.

I agreed until I got to 5; that is a complete step in the wrong direction and allowing discrimination based on sexual orientation is ****ing stupid and you should be ashamed for putting that in there.

Also 6 is ridiculous, the LGBT movement isn't a movement that's commissioned by the government - you really don't have any say in how they choose to name themselves. Whilst I do believe T shouldn't be grouped in there, trying to legally force a name change is silly.
    ---
    Aside from that;

The use of sex over gender on official documents makes far more sense and provides less confusion. People can choose to retain whatever made up gender they want in their private life and as such.

The majority of this bill seems decent, but at points it's simply going to ridiculous levels.

You forgot Miss, Mrs, Master, Dr etc, there aren't only two name prefixes.

If you did your research properly and wanted to 'eliminate gender'. You'd use 'Mx' you ignorant crumpets.

There was a mistake in communication during submission. To clarify, this bill is submitted privately by Nigel Farage MEP, not by UKIP as a whole.

You sir, are a disgrace to this parliament. You have the audacity to allow companies to discriminate on gender or sexual orientation. This is an embarrassment on yourself and this house.

I disagree, the thinking behind that is to allow a private bakery to refuse to bake a gay pride cake, or to allow the owners of a bed and breakfast to refuse to rent a room to a gay couple. If I was in the position of owning one of those companies I would not discriminate, however, I believe business owners should have complete freedom over who products, or services are sold to.

And I thought I had seen the worse this House had to offer.

Also maybe this is just me but this seems oddly timed since Saoirse:3 just returned, almost as if it was personal.

Anyway I would sooner pass through the seven circles of hell than the aye lobby for this bill

That is not the case, the Speaker can confirm the bill was first proposed to UKIP a year ago but the bill was rejected, it is a coincidence he has returned at a time I was going through old bills that were not submitted to see what can be submitted.

What kind of message is this sending? How do you think the gay couple would feel, they would feel like they are a lesser human being. Don't give me the 'I would not discriminate' bullcrap. That does not make this bill any better. The one good thing to come out of this bill? The entire house is united for once against it.

I do not care how the gay couple would feel, the business owners may feel their feelings are being violated by outlawing discrimination, there needs to be justification for why the feelings of minorities are more important than the feelings of business owners. There are lots of different businesses specialising in cakes, and there is plenty of accommodation available, the gay couple could use another business. By allowing discrimination of who businesses sell products are sold to, businesses are happy because their beliefs are not outlawed, and the gay couple can be happy because there will be other businesses willing to serve the gay couple. It is in the interests of a business to not discriminate because discrimination being publicised could lead to a boycott which will cost business, but if a company wants to discriminate that is acceptable.
